The Story

In the lost memories of eons past, the Creatorclan Aleymoahn was said to reach a godlike status of technological insight and power. Their vast rulingdomain streched over countless starsystems and formed a formidable civilisation that lasted for many ages. No one know why they eventually disappeared, but some old crumbled remnants of constructions found at various ancient sites still holds a kind of simple backupunits with traces of data. Although very little is known of the language the Creatorclan used, some of the data has been deciphred and interpreted by the Rifters, the most prominent sect of Creatorclan believers, into fragments of information stored millenia ago. The people of Aleymoahn is said to have trancended from mere men of flesh and blood into beings of pure energy to merge with their belowed machinery and enter into a realm unexplored. The one thing we know is that the Creatorclan vanished completely and this led directly to the bitter years of chaos that followed. The heritage the Creatorclan left, though, is of unmeasurable worth to us all as it is said that they were the ones that opened the Rifts in space - a kind of portals that transport whatever goes through it to a fixed coordinate in any given starsystem. Sadly, the knowledge to control these rifts also were lost with the Creatorclan, but some rifts were left open and are still usable, but only to one constant destination. Eventually we formed an alliance built on economic agreements throughout the starsystems and some form of order was reestablished. My homeplanet, Keth, as well as all planets in our system, Atharadane, are ruled by a guild of traderclans. The clanhead is appointed once every sixth year by voting at the grandmeeting at the Primestation, Orogus located near Keth. Since my father, Zebon Lukeen, is the one of the governors of the four great clans of Keth, the Yaragoh, my own career is predestined to be political. Or, at least, it was..... After the official ritual into manhood in the city of Skyreach, where I was given the old Talisman of Yaragoh from my father - as he had from my grandfather as a sign of one that is destined to be clanleader - everything changed. Dramatically. All of a sudden the quiet and solem scene of sacred house of Yaragoh turned into a burning, screaming nightmare when cloaked, heavily armed soldiers emerged from the sewerregoins and started to massacre the people attending the ceremony. I was wounded but managed to escape with the help of a stranger. I do not know the name of the man that saved my life, but I will always be in dept to him. This stranger brought me to a Minecat mining ship and escaped the the planet. As I regained my consciousness I realized that I am only a few standard units from the station Orogus and the stranger is gone. I have decided to dock there and try to find out what has happened.........

FAQ
1. Q: What is the number in the lower right on the screen? A: It is the AFT (Avarage Frame Time in ms) counter, it is there to tell how fast or slow the game is running, it should be as low as possible. 2. Q: What does the color codes in the radar represent? A: Blue=Planet/Station, Light Blue=Item, Yellow=Friendly/Unknown, Red=Hostile 3. Q: How long will it take before a station replies to my docking request. A: It will depend on the size of the station, in extreme cases it can take over a minute in real time. 4. Q: When starting Enrapture i receive the message 'Video mode set failed: Could'nt find matching GLX visual' A: Enrapture runs in videmode 800x600 with Depth 24, you need to alter your XF86Config file usually under /etc/X11. Example: Section "Screen" Identifier "Screen0" Device "Videocard(generic)" Monitor "Monitor0" DefaultDepth 24 Subsection "Display" Depth 24 Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" EndSubsection EndSection 5. Q: How do i use items like Datacore, Datadisc etc..... A: From the Status/Inventory menu you select the Item and then press the U-key. 6. Q: Why does sometime the ship crash into the station even though i'm using the docking computer A: The AutoPilot that is running together with the Docking Computer is not FAILSAFE 7. Q: Why is my sound distorted? A: I have no ide, but if you change to SDL v1.2.6 it will go away. 8. Q: Why is my text all black? A: Are you running with the Mesa GLX library? If so download a hardware accelerator for your card. See download section for information.
